After clearing all the other bosses in Karazhan, both teams were on course for closing the Karazhan Chapter at Nightbane. Wipes after wipes, both teams kept going...the dancing gave problem, the flaming blaze was a headache, the skeletons were pawning us, the landing in phase 2 was a nightmare...practically everything was set for a complete raid walkout. Despite the wipes, both teams kept going, keeping morale high through encouragement from each other. Fixing the problem one at a time, got the tanks to dance at will, sorted out the bone spears and the flaming blaze chaos, skeletons were taken care of...and with a bit of luck...the landings were kind to us. Nevertheless, Nightbane wasn't a walkover, with 10% left on his health...he continued his relentless attack on the raid leaving Recorr our warlock as the only DPS left and 3 healers plus our dancing Tank Pawnstarr! Bit by bit, his health dropped....so did our healers' mana. It was really intense as Recorr burned everything he had to churn out that DPS. After a long painful night, Stasis finally downs Nightbane and with this, Stasis has fully cleared Karazhan. Good job to both teams for downing Nightbane for the first time! |

The pretty dragon Netherspite is down! Pew Pew for the win! A little bit of beam tanking innovation thanks to Whewwhewwhew, the fight was almost a walkover. Only one final boss to go to have Karazhan cleared!

Finally having some time to attempt Illhoof, we proceeded in through the hidden bookcase ready to face him. Being mostly new to this fight, we took 2 attempts to sort out our strategy. The 3rd attempt went smoothly. Demon chains were hacked off quickly, imp adds were aoed down in good time and finally Illhoof too, fell at our feet. Congrats to Stasis on another guild first this April!

Based on the previous experiences from the last two visits to Gruul's Lair, we decided to bring more healers this time. We wanted 9 but could only muster 8...so we worked with what we had and tried to down High King Maulgar. A few dry runs to sort out the pulls and positioning, a couple of hiccups and the fight was on. Assigned groups and individuals did what they were tasked. One by one the named mobs were brought to their knees as our healers strived to keep the tanks up. Soon it was just Maulgar on his own but nevertheless, he raged on with his random charges, fears and hurricane spin! As members of the raid fell so did Maulgar's health and eventually it was triumph to us. Congrats on a first boss kill in TBC 25man raid instance for Stasis. |
