Back to Current Month News

This is one loooooong overdue screenshot. We got to be the most peppered guild ever with the non stop disconnections, capped tanks, class disappearing rotations, everything you name, we probably have. It didn't help when a core group of players decided to drop the game either. It is really an achievement that the guild still stands now. So I would like to salute each and everyone who have hung on through the past two months.

Counting the actual solid attempts we had on Vashj, it was 5 nights over a period of 2 months. This very night, with our dear old Edie back till his next cap :P....we went in and warmed up on Morogrim Tidewalker's fat arse.

Opened up the bridge, did arrangement of the groups and off we went. As usual without fail, we had one DC right as the fight started. The same happened for the next two attempts but morale was pretty good still, probably the "feeling" we were going to down her was there.

4th attempt went well. hit phase 3 but didn't have the numbers to finish it. 5th was worse...hit phase 3 with multiple striders up..and we had a mass fear orgy all over.

Sorted out a few issues with the last core, and the 6th attempt was on. Striders kited and down in good time. Heals and cleanse were on the ball. Hit phase 3 with 24 up and we knew we had her.

Good work to everyone and let's keep it going, good times or bad times.

This boss is fun. Fast, simple and furious.

We had a couple of wipes due to the wrath and after reminders, each attempt got better and better.

On the final attempt, things were so smooth that we had zero death! Good work to everybody involved.

With Solarian down, we got 2 more bosses to down before we can get to Mount Hyjal. It might take a while as we have some of the guys out on assignments and holidays but we'll do it eventually, so let's keep our heads up!!!

After the first night attempts on Al'ar without much success due to it being a new encounter and a few sleepy tanks, we decided to call it and come back today.

Things didn't look good with 3 tanks showing up for the raid but we decided to continue anyway, since it was just the 2nd night of attempts. With everyone refreshed and smarter from the previous night, confidence was high and off we went hoping to have some KFC.

So with 2 tanks on the platforms, 1 tank on adds and a bunch of eager raiders, we started off with the first attempt ending in mid phase 2 due to slight confusion on the boss pickup at the start of the phase.

A quick solution and slight change to the strat and off we went again. Things were going well with the Edie and Huatliao leapfrogging the platforms and Huat did a "Ooops, I fell off!!!". Luck was on us though, Al'ar decided to Fire Quill instead resulting in a huge relief among the raid. The adds pick up was excuted to perfection with Jetfield and Zodex assisting Seraphs. Melee dps group were very organised too, moving in and out timely saving heaps of mana for the healers. Soon Phase 2 kicked in and the pick up was excellent resulting in zero death.

The rest was quite simple as everyone already knew what to expect and did what they were expected to. Quick pick ups, timely heals, controlled dps and alot of adrenaline followed by a screenie to add to our progression. It's a very interesting fight and good work to everyone involved. Cheers.

Once again, our main tank hit his monthly internet quota. Fortunately, we had our new tank Isanta plus a few bears for this 3rd night of attempt on Leo. 1st night's best attempt had him at 6%, however raid was called off due to late night and respawns and everybody needed some sleep. For the 2nd night's attempt, nothing seemed to go right. Whew kept dying and dps somehow kept pulling aggro on every single attempt and getting killed.

Finally this 3rd night had us once again full of confidence that we would down him. Some attempts were wasted resulting from some dps classes not being able to kill their inner demon due to being caught off guard and some minor dps aggro problems. Realising that Leo could be resetted saved us a lot of time on wipe recovery.

Soon, all inner demon problems were solved including that of our healers. Dps classes were more aware of aggro and how much damage they could push during certain phases. The tanks were on the ball and there were no issues on aggro. Heals were sorted out and with luck we were all beating up the blindman till he finally agreed to take a screenshot with us here.

One final boss left in SSC guys...:D gogogo!!
